Timber:
We have our routes in the timber trade! Our liner service was inaugurated in 1981 carrying Swedish packaged timber from Varberg to Inverness and we now have regular sailings across Northern Europe.
Woodpulp:
We have our finger on the pulp! Scotline handle contract and spot cargoes out of the main woodpulp break-bulk terminals in Antwerp, Flushing, Gent, Hamburg and Rotterdam, for trans-shipments into our own and third-party pulp handling terminals.
Wood Chips:
We wood like to transport chips for you! The fleet’s box-hold vessels are appropriate for transporting bulk cargoes such as wood chips.
Logs:
We’ve been carrying log shipments over many years, indeed, Scotline’s first shipment was logs, from Inverness to Bremen in 1977, and we continue to ship them out of Inverness today.
Although the majority of Scotline’s core business is wood products, it is not all that we do. A few examples of other cargoes are below:
Cement:
We’ve been cementing our position in this market for a number of years! Scotline uses the custom facilities for handling cement vessels at Scotline Terminal Transit in Rochester.
Salt:
We’ll salt you out! Another bulk cargo that we regularly handle is salt.
Project Cargo:
We are always trying to project the right image! We have shipped a whole range of different project cargoes from plant equipment (containerised and loose) to steel coils to wind turbines. Get in touch if you have something specific that needs shipping.
