It is with great sadness that we must report that Ian Gould sadly passed away on Wednesday 07/12/2022 after a spell of illness. 

Ian has worked for Scotline for twenty years, and he will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with his wife, children, and grandchildren during this difficult time.

During Ian’s time at Scotline, he had seen various staff, (ashore and afloat) come and go. He assisted in the commissioning of each vessel from the Scot Venture in 2002 right through to Scot Isles in 2021. 

Last year Ian raised over £2000 for the Freedom Centre in Sheerness, a charity very close to him, by competing in an eating competition called “the gobble off”. 

Ian would often say what he thought and was not afraid to tell people how it was. His honesty, charity, and compassion were his key characteristics. 

Ian will not only be missed by the management, officers and crew but by his suppliers and other various local companies whom he dealt with daily.
