Update on the 24 Peaks Challenge 2024!

As we announced recently, on the 6^th and 7^th of July 2024, a dedicated team of adventurers competed under the Scotline banner in the formidable 24 Peaks Challenge! This was to raise funds for The Seafarers Charity. The challenge, known for its intense demands and challenging pace, requires participants to summit 24 peaks in the Lake District, all within a single weekend. This year’s event was particularly gruelling, with unpredictable weather adding an extra layer of difficulty.

The mostly inexperienced Scotline team tackled steep ascents, slippery descents, rock climbing over sheer drops, and navigated through hail and rain. Peaks such as Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, and Great Gable, known for its iconic pyramid shape, tested their physical and mental limits.

Throughout the challenge the team drew strength from each other, the other competitors and from the friends, family and charity supporters who had backed the event.

In the end the team raised a fantastic total of £7,258 + £850 Gift Aid for The Seafarers Charity, against a target of £4,000! The challenge, in total so far, has raised over £130,000!!

This is a fantastic result, and we can confirm that every one of those pounds was earned through blood, sweat and tears! Thanks to everyone involved and to everyone who donated to the cause.
